Local staff desperately tried to save the lives of a severely injured guy who crashed into a car this morning.

Pedestrian hit just past the junction of Upper Stanhope Street and Princes Road on Toxteth around 10. 35am.

The man, who allegedly went through a Skodia Fabia, was transferred to the hospital in critical condition after suffering serious injuries.

A giant police presence temporarily arrived at the site and paramedics, adding an air ambulance, arrived minutes after the accident.

An eyewitness who ran out of St Margaret’s Church reported hearing a dull noise and running to see what had happened.

A guy discovered the mendacity on the road after being hit by the car that came here to rest nearby.

Spectators came to his aid and said the man, between the age of 30 and 40, gave the impression that he had suffered a serious head injury.

Taking care to move him in case he suffered a spinal injury, they made him more comfortable and tried to contact him and help him until the paramedics arrived.

One witness testified that he was still breathing and that he was not responding any other way.

Local staff running at a structure site near the Greek Orthodox Church also witnessed the turn of fate and ran to their aid.

They parked a sold-out truck next to the dwindled boy on the road to protect him from other approaching cars until the emergency arrived.

The Skoda suffered rearview mirror wounds on the passenger side and minor wounds near the door handle.

The collision had also broken the front windshield, remaining intact.

The guy taken to the hospital where he remains in critical condition.

A police cordon at Princes Road intersections with Upper Stanhope Street and Upper Hill Street.
