It probably won’t be long before New Hampshire’s famous ice castles open their doors for the season.
If you’ve never been to the ice castles of North Woodstock, New Hampshire, this is an experience you probably won’t soon forget.
Founder Brent Christensen set up an ice cave in his garden to get kids out of space and it worked wonders, not only with his kids, but also those in the community who also came to play.
Word spread temporarily, and other people from all over the city came to watch and play on what he built. The kids nicknamed it the “Ice Castle,” and now its invention has taken on a much larger scale with seven sites in the United States.
Tickets on sale on the Ice Castles list on Friday, January 26 as the first day on which you will be able to purchase tickets. The site also recommends that you book your arrival time now, as spots are limited. You don’t need to miss sliding down the ice slides, crawling through the ice tunnels, or just backing up and admiring the beautiful view.
There are also sleigh rides, snowboarding, the Winter Fairy Village, a mystical walk among the forest lights, and the Polar Pub for adults.
If you need to start making plans now, head over to the Ice Castles website and book your time before you miss out on this amazing experience.
