Here are the trends we can expect in the UAE in 2024, according to experts

As the year comes to a close, it’s time to start thinking about plans for 2024. According to Skyscanner. ae, the year is expected to bring a change in habits, focusing on trips focused on film, television, and concerts. and tourism of places to eat.

The global site has unveiled its annual trends report for UAE residents, based on search and booking data, as well as its customer habits survey, and states that in 2024, value will no longer be the deciding factor when it comes to choosing a holiday destination.

Instead, travelers will look for places that have something express to offer, whether it’s a cultural event, an express restaurant, or a place straight out of a trendy TV series.

Here are Skyscanner’s most productive predictions about trends in 2024.

Sleep is officially a luxury, and for those who lead busy lives, vacations designed solely to allow them to make up for lost sleep are appealing. In fact, Skyscanner found that 80% of travellers to the UAE are more aware of their sleeping fitness than they were a few years ago. “In recent years, the number of people searching online for sleep retreats (and wondering what they are) has increased, and other people are increasingly interested in their fitness for sleep,” the report said.

The effect of the white lotus shows no signs of slowing down. According to Skyscanner, 92% of travellers have been asked to e-book a holiday based on a destination they’ve seen in a movie or on their favourite TV show. Skyscanner sees an upsurge in destination-seeking whenever a binge-worthy series or film hits screens, and has partnered with Netflix to share some of its most productive presentations that motivate the power of the main character to travel around the world.

While food has long been a must-have component of a destination experience for many travelers, more and more foodies are being driven to plan their meals solely around an express food spot they want to visit. In fact, 46% of UAE travelers surveyed said they booked for this precise reason. Aptly dubbed the “kitchen of Japan”, Osaka tops Skyscanner’s list for foodies on a budget in 2024.

We’ve noticed the effect global superstars like Taylor Swift and Beyoncé have had on economies with their global tours, and politicians are asking stars to consider their cities to get in on the action. In 2024, this only continues as more travelers plan trips to coincide with the arrival of their favorite musicians in the city. Skyscanner reports that 72% of UAE travelers would consider attending a concert abroad in 2024.
