Henry Ford is recruiting volunteers on this randomized double-blind test to determine whether a two-dose vaccine prevents COVID-19 infection in others exposed to coronavirus.
Nearly 90 fitness systems in the United States are operating competitively to recruit a total of 30,000 volunteers to participate in the Modern Vaccine exam. The test will be closer to volunteers once another 30,000 people are registered, so you must temporarily register with www.HenryFord.com/ModernaVaccine.
The first two stages of the exam involving more than six hundred participants showed that the vaccine was safe. Phase 2 showed that the vaccine produced antibodies; Phase 3 will determine whether this will provide coverage opposite the COVID-19 virus.
Typical vaccines that oppose viruses are made from a weakened or inactive virus, but the mNR-1273 vaccine is not made from SARS-CoV-2. It is made of messenger ribonucleic acid (mRN), a genetic code that tells cells how to produce proteins. In this case, protein is a small component of the virus that is intended to help the body’s immune formula produce antibodies to fight the virus. However, it is possible that other people are still inflamed with SARS-CoV-2 in their activities, despite injections in the study.
All test participants will have a 50% chance of receiving the test vaccine or a placebo, a sterile saline solution that does not have an active vaccine. Anyone 18 years of age or older who is not immunosuppressed or pregnant or contemplating becoming pregnant would possibly volunteer for the test, provided that they have not won COVID-19 or any other vaccine or treatment. The fitness formula indicates that registration sites will be in Detroit lately in the Henry Ford Hospital Emergency Department (with a separate entrance), the new Center One construction (seventh floor) and the PAH construction (which houses the Employee Health Clinic). ) in front of the main hospital.
After two shots a month apart, volunteers will stop at their registration site five more times and communicate to examine coordinators approximately 24 times over two years.
