But how did the script get there?
As many fans already know, the first ever Star Wars was filmed at the famous Elstree Studios here in Hertfordshire, UK. All of the huge stars that feature in the first of the classic movie trilogy, such as Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, and Mark Hamil, stayed in accommodation around the Hertfordshire site.
Harrison Ford ended up opting for an apartment in the trendy London neighborhood of Notting Hill, which made it easier for him to access his studies. According to the circle of relatives who rented it, his grandmother had advertised the apartment in the “Torent” on Sunday. Times, so that a tenant can occupy only the upper floors of his home.
And incredibly, the family completely oblivious to Ford’s prestige as a celebrity and simply referred to him as “the tenant. “This came as a real surprise to his housekeeper, who ended up fainting at the sight of the actor when she found out exactly who the Array was
While Harrison Ford stayed with the family, he invited his co-stars. Carrie Fisher, who played Princess Leia, and Mark Hamill, who played Luke Skywalker, are said to have visited him frequently.
But surprisingly, again, the owners also had no idea who they were and even called Mark Hamill “the kid” because that’s what his older co-star called him at the time.
The family described Ford as an “excellent tenant, very tidy” and ended up building a friendship with the star. When he wanted to relax after a hard day’s filming, the family would often have drinks with him in the garden, and they were thrilled when he gave them money for some new plants.

The owner of the apartment fondly recalls: “The summer of 1976 was a wonderful time. He was an ideal tenant!
The actor even attended his son’s first birthday party in this same garden. Ford ended up leaving the now-prized piece of Star Wars history in the apartment after filming wrapped, and his family has loved it ever since. fourth edition of Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope.
This is an incomplete story that only adds to its charm, with other colored pages indicating revisions. Although there were five drafts in the end, this revised fourth edition provides valuable insight into the making of one of the most prominent and beloved films ever made. and includes scenes and characters that ended up being cut from the final cut.
Now, fans have the chance to purchase the script for themselves as it goes up for sale with renowned auctioneers Kings Langley, Excalibur, based in Primrose Hill. Bidding will begin on February 17th at the Collectors’ Cavern Auction.
As expected, fan interest will most likely be very high. This unique piece of Star Wars memorabilia can cost a giant sum of cash and is estimated to sell for between £8,000 and £12,000.
