It took Hany Mukhtar 16 minutes to make history at Nashville SC.
The German attacking midfielder scored 3 goals against Chicago Fire FC on Saturday at Nissan Stadium. Mukhtar’s hat trick is the first in the club’s history, either in Major League Soccer and in his past stint in the United Soccer League.
Mukhtar’s hat trick in 16 minutes was also the fastest scored since the start in MLS history. Mukhtar, who scored his hat trick in a five-minute interval, occupies the moment in this category in league history. The record is five minutes.
Mukhtar, the club’s first designated player, scored his first goal in the minute after centre forward CJ Sapong intercepted a pass from Johan Kappelhof and played it into Mukhtar, running into the centre of the 18-metre penalty area, before the 26-year-old, hit the ball with his right foot in the lower left corner of the goal.

Mukhtar doubled his score 3 minutes later, punishing Chicago for losing the ball, this time. Left-back Dan Lovitz smiled down the left side of the field as he crossed into Mukhtar. The DP midfielder beat Mauricio Pineda with some assists before scoring.
Before Saturday, Mukhtar had 4 targets under his belt. Now the midfielder enters the most sensitive mls at five with seven.

Mukhtar’s last goal came here after a foul through Kappelhof on Sapong, for which he won a red card, scoring a goal from a loose kick from 20 metres. Mukhtar changed the kick with his right foot, which curved in the left corner.
Saturday is the fifth time in MLS history that Nashville has scored 3 or more goals in a game.
