Hamden man, 50, seriously injured in crash, police say

A 50-year-old Hamden man was seriously injured Sunday morning when his motorcycle and pickup truck collided, according to Hamden police.

HAMDEN — A local man was hospitalized Sunday morning after being seriously injured in a motorcycle accident, according to police.

Hamden police said officers responded to the intersection of Whitney Avenue and Todd Street around 9:20 a. m. Sunday by a report of a twist of fate involving a pickup truck and motorcycle. The motorcyclist, known as a 50-year-old Hamden man, was seriously injured. according to the police. He treated him at the scene through the Hamden Fire Department and transported him to Yale New Haven Hospital.

According to police, the van’s motive force was not injured.
