April 5: Adair County will be part of Reigster’s annual Grand Bike Ride through Iowa, the tour beginning Sunday, July 21.
When passengers leave Atlantic on Monday, July 22, the direction will direct them to Adair County, adding Highway 92, from south Cumberland, Cass County, to Greenfield. From there, riders will take Highway 25 to Orient and then take the county’s G61 highway. Road to Macksburg in Madison County. The prevention point for July 23 is in Winterset.
The Winterset RAGBRAI committee announced the theme and logo to welcome cyclists after their 79-mile ride through the city. Themed “The Mountaineest of the Mountainous,” the Atlantic to Winterset tour will feature the longest day of ascent to 4,519 feet, RAGBRAI’s mountainous week.
