Golfer Ryu So-yeon donated 250 million won to fight coronavirus (US$1 to 1197 W).
Ryu donated all the prizes he won after the Kia Motors Korean Open Championship last month.
“As the occasion took place, thanks to the efforts and sacrifices of many others in difficult times due to the coronavirus outbreak, I donated W 150 million to the Korean Community Chest and one hundred million W to the Mediheal Foundation in the hope that the cash prize can be used for valuable purposes,” he said in a press release published Monday through his control agency.
The 150 million won donated to the Korean Community Chest will be used to provide protective adjustments to the workers’ medical corps and help those who need it take care of coronavirus tests.
The Mediheal Foundation is a Christian charity that includes single mothers, young people who dropped out of school, and migrant workers. The donation will be used to have other people’s private people save you the coronavirus.
