Currently, the Chevy Silverado will offer several hatchback options. All rear gates are shaped like a normal drop-down unit, while a multifunctional unit is particularly absent. But following the launch of the state-of-the-art MultiPro tailgate in the all-new GMC Sierra 2019, it’s becoming more transparent that Chevrolet will offer its own edition of the feature on the Chevy Silverado. Now, GM Authority has learned how the new tailgate will come to market.
First, Chevy’s new multifunctional tailgate may only have the Multi-Flex logo (possibly spelled MultiFlex). This call is a favorite among a handful of calls that are considered through the Bow Tie logo. It should also be noted that GM originally implemented the so-called Multi-Flex in 2003, to jointly refer to the seats of motor vehicles.
GM’s authority would possibly also report that the new Chevy Silverado hatchback feature, whatever your call, is scheduled for the 2021i style year (interim 2021).However, the COVID-19 pandemic may also end up pushing launch plans to 2022 to coincide with the Silverado mid-cycle update, which will also offer a new interior, as first reported through GMA..
We’ve covered the theme of a Silverado multifunction hatchback over the past few years, showing you various Chevy Silverado HD prototypes tested with the Chevrolet edition of the MultiPro tailgate. We also saw the feature discussed in the Silverado 2020 owner’s manual, the Feature is not available for the 2020 style year.
GM Authority has also heard rumors that the Chevy Multi-Flex tailgate can be differentiated from the GMC MultiPro through a new feature or position. However, it is also imaginable that the MultiPro tailgate will be updated to incorporate the new feature, providing capacity parity to both gates.
As a reminder, the MultiPro tailgate provides greater flexibility and capacity in six configurations, adding second-level load, load stop, state workstation, folding centerpiece for less difficult access to the box and a box aisle. It also has the ability to integrate a set of Kicker speakers with Bluetooth function.
Don’t worry, let’s find out more about the Chevy Silverado’s upcoming Multi-Flex tailgate. In the meantime, be sure to subscribe to GM Authority for the new Silverado, new Chevrolets and 24-hour GM news coverage.
Marketing at its worst is GM! Offer it now, it’s been 2 years since it started, so calling it to another call would probably not replace anything unless you distinguish it from the other that we all know is not going to happen.
With all due respect, you don’t know that $ hit jack.
And you had that room?
“GM Authority has also heard rumors that the Chevy Multi-Flex tailgate can differentiate itself from the GMC MultiPro in a new service or position.”
chuckArray.” However, it is also imaginable that the MultiPro tailgate will be updated to have the new feature, thus providing capacity parity to any of the rear gates.”Suppose you missed that space. In fact, the two back doors will be the same, with other names, so with all due respect, you don’t know that jack $ hit.
Okay, Ford’s had the opposite for over a decade. It’s a hat.
Obviously, you missed the component that says that even if you have a new feature, you’re possibly in the other updated model…meaning GMC!
Obviously, you missed the component that GMC branded and markets as Pro, and Chevy… No.
It’s also a concept to have a GMC leader with exclusive capability before leaving the market.
Low-end? Please. For decades, GMCs were nothing yet. Chevy trucks equipped with Chevy engines with another grille at the front, so they can be sold at Buick/ Olds / Pontiac dealerships. Now they make other sheet steel seals for each truck. What a thing. They’re exactly the same. Changing the name of the tailgate is stupid. All Chevy types on the planet know that the multipro tailgate is a multi-pro tailgate. Just leave it. Calling it multiflex is cheesy. They do not replace the names of the engines or any other non-unusual components of each of the trucks. There’s no desire to do that here either. GMC is “like a professional”, “professional degree”. Hurrah. So, Chevy’s ‘like a flex’, ‘flex grade’ now, I guess? GM’s marketing is horrible.
There is no combination of backdoor/bed access on the market that is larger than a padded back door with bumper angled steps. Almost the time would be the additional charge for turning off/turning on.
One thing I’d like to see is a rearview camera that can rotate so that even with the door down, it has a rearview camera. It is annoying when I have wooden or long items in bed, or worse when I have my quad in bed and I have to hook the boat.
Small functional features, like those, help separate trucks for others who use them for more than just travel. And GM already has a camera formula in its 2019 pickup trucks
Unlike other maneuvering cameras, the rearview camera is required by law with complex needs for a near and remote view box. Specifically, you’ll need to be able to see short things near the bumper. So yes, it’s not easy to locate another position to assemble it. Read FMVSS 111 if desired.
Forced by law to get lost? I’d be surprised.
More than a decade ago, Ford introduced a multi-feature tailgate. Gm then filed an NFL game ad with Howie Long who didn’t care. Then, in 2019, GM filed an announcement of the superbowl, claiming to have the most productive multifunctional backdoor. Pepperidge Farms remembers. I didn’t want it when Ford did it and I’m not going to pretend I want it just because GM made the decision to do it. I refuse to be an unwavering and unwavering who wants anything because GM says I deserve to want it.
If you’ve noticed them looking like me, GMC’s offering gives Ford the impression it’s a late reflection.
Who cares? The 12-inch Rams demo gives my pickup screen a tiny look. The fact is, if I’d looked for hatchback features, I would have switched to Ford years ago.
I hope the challenge of touching your hitch ball is over.Very clever if you still have to drop the door.
I can’t, other people still complain about this with the towbar/hook, for God’s sake ….. REMINT-LE, challenge solved, you shouldn’t run with him anyway unless you’re towing!
GM has an atrocious market! I don’t know why they come up with smart concepts and never market them. Send XUV, Quadrasteer, Duramax multipro gate… K I know no one liked the XUV, but it was still a cutting-edge concept. They weren’t marketing at all. Quadraseer is such a smart concept that it deserves to be the way vans are built in 2020. I realize that Duramax pickups sell pretty well, but when each and every One of the Dodge or Ford I see are Cummins or Powerstrke and that’s more than a part of the Chevys I see they’re nugatory vortices … This is obviously a lack of market. And I think the only explanation for why the multipurpose door is sold is because dealers order trucks with it. So, if other people need a truck the same day, they’ll stay with it. I think it’s a smart concept. But I can see other old people saying “just more things to break” Array..
And everyone who complains about the ‘multifunction door…’ Ford, you mean the door with the hallway …? It is not even remotely similar to the multipro door … Stop it… And it’s a form of marketing in which GM excels. Smear campaigns! I agree that the stupid passage at the door is just a stupid “nobody.” That said, my paint truck is an f150 and I use walking every time I go to bed.
