GMC’s highly anticipated Hummer EV will be revealed in person, but on the web.
As you’ve really seen when visiting our site in recent days, introducing new models online has the new way of doing things for automakers. The explanation of why this is evident and there is no plans to return to normal in the short term.
The normality in the automotive industry is to invite the media to a selected location through the manufacturer to provide their new product. And so, after the virtual revelations of Toyota Venza and Sienna, Nissan Rogue, Ford Mustang Mach 1 and Lexus IS, all 2021 models, one of the next online for an online remote presentation is the Electric Hummer van that will be registered for the GMC range.
The official presentation of the Hummer EV was to take place back on May 20. You’ll recall that during the last Super Bowl, a GM ad gave a very brief overview of the model and announced that date.
The good news for the manufacturer is that the pandemic and the slowdowns it caused were not the progression of the style. This means that GMC still plans to present its style later this year and launch it on the market in 2021 as a 2022 style.
There is not yet an official date for the presentation of the model, but it is very likely that it is a strictly online matter. Mary Barra, CEO of GM (General Motors), told Automotive News about the company’s plans for its upcoming models:
“They [the beginnings] will be largely online. We’ll use virtual and augmented truth technologies to help them tell our story. I think we can generate enthusiasm and a large percentage of what those products are.”

This resolution is not a marvel given the dubious scenario surrounding the coronavirus, that is, in the United States. This is also why we are still waiting for an official date for the electrical presentation of the Hummer; We have to think this is more likely to take place in the fall than this summer.
