Gladstone Hamilton Farm Golf Club appoints new general manager

PEAPACK-GLADSTONE – Hamilton Farm Golf Club has appointed Michael Ferguson as CEO on August 17.

From executive positions at several popular Las Vegas homes before his career to his top position as recent CEO since 2005, Ferguson brings nearly 25 years of experience in hotel management, according to Hamilton Farm.

In his new position, he will oversee all club operations, adding golf, land and administrative functions such as catering, wedding and banquet services, concierge and clubhouse.

“Michael is well known in the industry for his hands-on commitment to offering members and visitors five-star service titles in all facets of operations,” Hamilton Farm President David Townsend said in a statement. “Based on your great delight in member programming and services, your determination to foster relationships, and the continuous improvement of member delight, and your life-filled personality, we are confident that you will be the best to have compatibility. Ferguson, a 46-year-old married father of two who lives in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, added: “With hamilton Farm’s remarkable reputation and mystique, world-class Hurdzan and Fry Golf Courses, historic property, sublime homes, state-first-class accommodation and operation, I am among the five most sensitive golf clubs in the state. Hamilton Farm is part of century-old assets owned by New York financier James Cox Brady. Recently voted the PGA Club of the Year in New Jersey, in addition to the Premier Clubs Best of Private Gol links, Hamilton Farm offers two courses.

With 18 holes and more than 7,000 yards, the Highlands course stretches along the 18-hole Hickory course, the only USGA-ranked par 3 course in the country. Both were designed through Dr. Michael Hurdzan and Dana Fry, who also designed Erin Hills, Wisconsin, from the 2017 U.S. Open.

There is also a century-old Georgian mansion with original main points and a new 5,000-square-foot wedding and occasion venue that can accommodate more than three hundred people and on-site accommodation.
