FRANCFORT (Reuters) – Frankfurt prosecutors said Wednesday that they were in charge of offices as part of a foreign investigation into fraud for illegal emission neutralization devices discovered in engines used in Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Jeep and Iveco vehicles.

The Frankfurt prosecutor’s workplace said he’s investigating Americans from a foreign automaker and a foreign manufacturer of fraud-suspected advertising vehicles.

Residents of Germany, Italy and Switzerland are being sought as part of a coordinated foreign investigation through EUROJUST, the prosecutor said in a statement.
