General Motors will manufacture an electric truck designed through arizona-based startup Nikola Motors announced Tuesday.
The Nikola Badger is a full-size pickup truck that will feature battery power and mobile hydrogen fuel power.
Nikola will exchange $ 2 billion of recently issued non-unusual shares, representing 11% of the company, for in-kind and access to global tested and validated portions and factors from General Motors, the corporations said in a press release.
“This strategic partnership with disruptive leader Nikola continues with the broader deployment of General Motors’ new Ultium battery and Hydrotec mobile fuel systems,” said Mary Barra, GM president and CEO. “We are expanding our presence in several high-volume electric vehicle segments, while increasing prices for batteries and mobile fuels and increasing profitability.

The Badger will incorporate GM’s new Ultium battery and Hydrotec mobile fuel technology, which has been proven through the US Army in the Colorado ZH2 prototype truck. GM will also be the exclusive mobile fuel supplier for Nikola’s Class 7/8 ad trucks. doors Europe.
