General Motors Co. in Detroit has released its 2023 Sustainability Report, demonstrating the company’s commitment to building a long-term, zero-emission environment and moving toward its goal of carbon neutrality.
The report highlights GM’s projects to drive electric vehicle adoption, forge strategic partnerships for supply chain sustainability, and help advance a future-proof grid powered through renewable energy.
The report shows what GM is doing with greenhouse fuel emissions toward a zero-emissions future. It showcases GM’s projects in key areas, adding environmental stewardship, innovation, social duty, and governance.
“Sustainability is simply smart policy, it’s smart business: smart for the company, smart for employees, and smart for recruiting and retaining the most productive people who will help us achieve our vision,” said Mary Barra, GM president and CEO. “We have made great strides through our investments and inventions in electric and autonomous technologies, and we will expand our reach, especially with many significant EV launches across a wide diversity of themes and value segments this year. “
Highlights of the new include:
