The 60,000-square-foot construction will house laboratories committed to progression and procedural innovation to help complex treatment projects. The construction will be part of a 22-acre plot of land acquired through FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies from Lake Walk in June 2020. Laboratories will have BSL-2 functions with analytical and upstream technologies. Construction will triple the ability to expand the site’s complex treatment procedures. The new construction is expected to create approximately one hundred jobs in the College Station area.
College Station Mayor Karl Mooney, County Judge Duane Peters, Bryan City Mayor Andrew Nelson, Developer Spencer Clements of William Cole Companies, and Mike Gentry, President of Brazos Valley Economic Development Corporation, attended the event.
