A man is arrested in Kennewick after police say he pulled out two guns during an argument.
The dispute occurred a few days earlier in Othello.
Othello police say they won a call last Saturday (Jan. 27, 2024) begging officers to “come here. ” When the police arrived, they learned that there had been a fight involving the use of firearms.
Detectives report that their investigation revealed that a 27-year-old former Othello citizen had assaulted a 22-year-old and 13-year-old Othello citizen. Investigators say that during the fight, the 27-year-old had two firearms, one in each hand, for a short period of time. Officers located one of the weapons, but the 27-year-old man was gone before they arrived.
The search for the suspect
Adams County sheriff’s deputies also joined the search for the man but were unable to locate him. Then, on Monday (January 29, 2024), the suspect settled in Kennewick and was arrested and jailed on charges similar to unlawful possession of a firearm and two counts of fourth-degree assault.
This week, January 30, Benton County Sheriff’s deputies earned an overnight call from an involved citizen regarding a heated argument in the parking lot of Kiona-Benton City High School.
When police arrived at the scene, they discovered that a 22-year-old man involved in the argument was carrying a firearm. The gun-carrying suspect was arrested for possession of a firearm on a school campus and not having the legal capacity to conceal the weapon. He also brought her onto school grounds without permission.

When deputies rolled up to the scene, they discovered that a 22-year-old man involved in the dispute was carrying a gun. The alleged gun-toting suspect was taken into custody for having a firearm on a school campus and for not having the legal ability to conceal the weapon. He was also trespassed on school property.
