Ford is withdrawing more than 558,000 medium SUVs from the market in North America because the brakes may not work properly.
Withdrawal targets secured Ford Edge cars from 2015 to 2018 and Lincoln MKX from 2016 to 2018.
Ford said Wednesday that some front brake tubes would possibly break, leading to a brake fluid leak. If too much liquid leaks, preventing the vehicle would possibly require more effort and prevention distances would possibly increase.
The company says it is aware of injuries or injuries due to the problem.
Drivers see a soft brake warning on the board if the liquid goes down too low.
Owners will be notified from the week of September 14. Dealers will update the front brake hoses for new ones with a different design.
