Ford doubles production of first edition of bronco to $60,000 to meet massive demand

Even Ford wasn’t ready for the splash, sorry, tsunami, that made the new Bronco. By the time their disclosure ended, buyers interested in placing their $100 reservations flooded the order site, their numbers literally drowning the servers at night. Unfortunately, this meant that many of those who had tried to reach the metaphorical waters to get the world’s best edition of Bronco left empty-handed, with the 3,500 allocations claimed within launch hours. But Ford, instead of disappointing early enthusiastic users, announced that it would double the number of first edition models it would produce from 3500 to 7000.

“Due to the overwhelming demand, we have increased the number of models in the first edition to a total of 7,000,” Mike Levine, Ford’s director of product communications, said in an email to The Drive. “The reservations for the Broncos edition of two and four doors are complete.”

As the bookings are, as Levine points out, complete, previous applicants from the first edition of Bronco will decide on the possibility of maintaining their reservations.

As even a small number of booking headlines from the first edition will inevitably back from their first radius, $60K Broncos, a lucky few who have not yet heard smart news about their first edition shows may still at some point on the line. And since the first edition sounds like the most productive Bronco ever had, with the convenience of the Outer Banks and Wildtrak’s talents, those who narrowly missed a first edition the first time will have an explanation for why they rejoice.
