Ford appoints Jim Farley as new president and CEO

(RTTNews) – Ford Motor Company (F) has announced that Jim Hackett plans to retire as President and CEO. He will remain a special advisor to the company until March 2021. The company has appointed Jim Farley as its new President and CEO. You will be registered on the Board of Directors from 1 October.

Farley joined Ford in 2007 as global head of marketing and sales. In April 2019, he decided to lead Ford’s new business, generation and strategy team. Farley was appointed Chief Operating Officer in February 2020.

“Jim has played a decisive role in creating our new product portfolio and redesigning our global operations. He is also a replacement agent with a deep explanation of how to lead Ford into this new era explained through smart cars in a smart world,” Hackett said.

Bill Ford, Ford’s chief executive, said, “Jim’s fondness for big cars and his intense preference for effects are well known, and I’ve also seen him as a transformative leader with the determination and foresight needed to help Ford thrive in the future.”

Ford said Hackett and Farley will work together on a smooth leadership transition over the next two months.
