Flagstop Car Wash continues the expansion fed through private capital with 3 new locations

The largest Richmond car washing chain has added 3 new places to its ranks, two of which have acquired from the competition and one that built from zero.

Flagstop Car Wash announced previously its acquisition of Southzy Malone washing in Powhatan in 2622 Anderson Highway and Auto Spa Car Wash in Kilmarnock in 612 N. Main St.

Anderson Highway washing because the only location in Sudzy Malone, while Auto Spa has five other advanced positions that still work, adding one in Hull Street Road in Midlothian, one in Robious Road in Chesterfield and another 3 in the Tidewater region, according to its website.

The monetary situations of the two acquisitions are revealed, said the flagstop CEO Jamie Nester. Sudzy Malone and Auto Spa purchases closed on March 19 and April 15, respectively, and the two are now under the flagstop brand.

“The acquisition of Sudzy Malone in Powhatan is strategically aligning with our presence established in the Grand Richmond market, our regional footprint,” Nester said in an email. “Kilmarnock Auto Spa represents an opportunity to expand in new spaces in Virginia, where we believe that our prospere advertising model, which is when consulting our experience to offer prices and growth. “

With this broader expansion in mind, the chain supported through investment capital was also recently moved to Farmville with the opening of a recently built location in 2584 Farmville Road. Built on a 1. 3 Acres site, the installation of car wash extends more than 4,900 feet.

“Like Auto Spa, which is an hour in the east of Grand Richmond, Farmville represents an opportunity to the west of Grand Richmond where we our prosperer advertisement model,” said Nester.

The Farmville location opened in February.

Nester said Flagstop strategically chose the Pharmville place due to a newly built Wawa in the region.

Nester told Bizsense that the director of Operations of Flagstop Spencer Rakes had “strengthened our team” since he joined the company last year, positioning Flagstop to accumulate up to 40 places in the next year to 18 months. Nester refused to observe express spaces for new sites and acquisitions, but pointed out that plans make the plans larger beyond domain in neighboring states.

Nester refused to comment on the amount of source of income that the flag produces year.

Flagstop founded in Chester in 1981. Nester joined the corporate as a worker while he was at school in 1994, before resuming the corporate in 2017 and proceeding to develop his number of locations.

In December 2022, Nester sold a majority participation of the company at the Garnett station for an unleashed amount. He continued and led the business.
