Five relatives, including a child, are killed in a collision between a car and a truck in Kannur, Kerala

The incident is believed to have occurred on Monday at around 10:15 p. m. A group of five people were travelling from Thalassery to Kasaragod when their car collided with a truck carrying fuel cylinders from Mangaluru, police said.

Four other people in the vehicle died at the scene, while the nine-year-old boy was later found dead at Pariyaram Medical College Hospital. The driver of the truck was also injured in the crash, they added.

According to police, Sudhakaran and other members of his family circle were on their way home after dropping off their son Saurav at an inn in Kozhikode, which is suing CA. Firefighters and police arrived at the scene and pulled the deceased from the car. Authorities from the Department of Motor Vehicles also arrived at the scene. Police stopped the truck and its driver.
