The first launch date of a Formula 1 car for 2023 has been confirmed, with Aston Martin announcing when the AMR23 will roll off the cover.
The 2022 Formula 1 season would possibly just end, but reflections are already turning towards the 2023 season and the year of the time of the new regulations.
The 2023 Aston Martin has noticed its launch date shown across the team, the first of 10 to set a date for the reveal of its new challenger.
AMR23 will be presented to the public on Monday, February thirteenth at 7 p. m. m. , UK time.
The launch will take place at Aston Martin’s new facility in Silverstone, in front of an audience, and will also be broadcast live on its virtual channels.
The new car will be driven by Lance Stroll and new teammate Fernando Alonso – the two-time world champion joined the British team after two years with Alpine, and spoke of his positivity towards his new team after his first day with Aston Martin in Abu Dhabi.
The new car will be unveiled 10 days before the start of the official three-day Formula 1 test, which is the on-track preparation that groups will receive before the start of the season. The F1 test will take place in Bahrain from Thursday 23 to Saturday 25 February, with the Bahrain GP weekend taking place the following weekend, and the race itself taking place on Sunday 5 March.
Aston Martin technical director Dan Fallows has shown that he has overseen the AMR23 since its inception, following his departure from Red Bull.
He has also been inspired by what he has noticed from his time with the team so far, with Aston Martin staff set to move into building their new factory in mid-2023 before the team opens its own wind tunnel in 2024.
“I saw it as an organization of incredibly passionate and very talented people, some of whom have been here for a long time and have a wealth of experience,” Fallows told some media outlets, adding to PlanetF1, after a visit to Aston Martin’s new factory. .
“So the most important thing for us is to make sure we tap into that joy and passion, and not destroy it, as we look to grow and become a winning team. “
