BUCYRUS – A 365 is around what coach Marty Myers expects his Bucyrus golf team to take a field trip last September, early October.
On Monday morning, that’s what they gave him when the Redmen finished the Seneca East moment at the Bucyrus Elks Invitational.

365 Bucyrus came from 84 Gavin O’Connell, 87 Trenton Hardy, 94 Grady Jackson and 100 Karson Kimmel. It was the same score on Buckeye Central’s shot, but Kael Scott’s 101 gave the Redmen the fifth score on the Bucks per second. .
“Gavin O’Connell was the lowest with 84, probably his lowest score in tournaments,” Myers said. “Trenton Hardy shot an 89 (last week) in Galion, so he was low, those guys had some smart days. I think others feel they may have done a little better, but overall we were smart today.”
Alex Kanney’s 87 set the pace for British Columbia, while a 91 by Logan Niese, 92 by Tyler Rose and 95 by Kaiden Vaughn completed third place 365.
Galion’s JV team, made up of Bronson Dalenberg (84), Nate Barre (91), Jason Guthridge (93) and Braylen Hart (98), fourth with a 366 to make the race for second place a highly contested race.
Upper Sandusky was alone with a 370 led through 83 medal finalist Owen Knapp and 6th Mohawk with 391.

Wynford 11th with 453 scored by 101 Micah Greene. Nash Farrell fired 104, Dylon Robinson 106 and Peyton Bardon 142. Bucyrus 12th JV with 455, while Lucas Hill’s 104 was the lowest, followed by Noah Burke’s 109, Cody Pennington. 111 and 131 through Jackson Farrar.
On Wednesday, Buckeye Central travels to Stone Ridge Golf Club, the district site, for the Woodmore Invitational, and then to the Seneca Hills Golf Course for the Tiffin Invitational on Saturday. The rest of the 10 groups in the North compete the week in the championship.
Galion wins the Clyde Invitational
The Tigers school team arrived at the Green Hills golf course in Clyde and presented a show in front of a fierce festival pulling an absurd 298 for victory.
