Ferrari is helping Mick Schumacher improve in Formula 1.
This is the word of Piero Ferrari, the living son of the iconic founder of the wonderful Maranello brand, Enzo.
Ferrari, 76, is Ferrari’s vice president and admitted the Italian team is helping to give Schumacher, the son of Ferrari’s wonderful powertrain, Michael, a more competitive car in F1.
Schumacher, 22, is driving lately for Haas, whose 2022 is being designed in a separate construction on site in Maranello.
“He’s turning his into a team we support,” Ferrari told Italian media, referring to Schumacher, a member of the Ferrari academy and Haas driver.
“His team (Haas) has made the selection of not spending in 2021 so it’s a car that was no longer smart in 2020,” he added.
“But they are spending for 2022 and at Ferrari we are also Haas. For this year, we hope to give Schumacher a car with which he can demonstrate his qualities. “
Piero Ferrari admits he misses Mick’s father, the legendary seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher.
“I had the thrill of having Schumacher as a guest at home, drinking a bottle of red wine together. He enjoyed those moments of privacy and tranquility.
“He is an undeniable user: clear, precise, a very linear use,” Ferrari said.
“I’m sorry we’re talking about him today as if he’s dead, because he’s not. Michael is there but he can’t communicate. “
