FBI Raids Doral Frame Store in Connection to Murder of Miami Car Designer

MIAMI – The FBI raided a frame store in Doral in the wake of the investigation into the attempted murder of Miami car designer Alex Vega.

On Friday morning, Chopper Four flew over the Doral Collision Center at 2101 NW 97th Ave. , where federal agents invaded the carpentry shop and several Doral Police cars were outside.

Rolando “Roly” Ramirez, owner of the Doral Collision Center, and two men are now charged in connection with the murder-for-hire plot.  

Ramirez appeared in federal court Friday afternoon, where he learned he faces charges of solicitation to commit a crime of violence, criminal harassment, firing a firearm and obstruction of justice.

Ramírez remains in custody until Friday afternoon.

After the hearing, one of his attorneys, David Kubilun, told CBS News Miami, “I can tell you that my consumer is Roland ‘Roly’ Ramirez and he has known that for 2 years and he has cooperated one hundred percent and he proclaims his innocence and we will vigorously fight the charges against him and he will have his day in court. “

Family members say Vega and Ramirez were partners in Exclusive Motoring, right next to the Doral Collison Center, and Vega left to start his own business.

FBI agents also conducted two raids in Pinecrest and Aventura on Friday.
