SOUTH BERWICK, Maine — The network will celebrate the lives of Gavin Sorge Jr. and Peter Ronchi, two family members who died in a crash on Highway 4 in Rollinsford, New Hampshire.
The life of Sean Kamszik, who was the wife of Gavin Sorge Jr. and was a member of the same family that died in the crash, was celebrated in the past by his family at a personal service.
Gavin Sorge Sr. said Kamstik’s circle of relatives is welcome and will likely attend the upcoming “A Celebration of Life” occasion on Monday, Oct. 17 starting at 1 p. m. at four o’clock in the afternoon at Jimmy’s Jazz and Blues Club, 135 Congress St, Portsmouth.
On Sept. 4, Ronchi, 58, Sorge Jr. , 22, and Kamszik, 23, were riding in a Dodge Caravan on Route Four in Rollinsford. A Subaru Forester driven through Kyle McGowan, 33, of Kennebunk, crossed the center line, doing so in the head-on collision, according to police. Police said McGowan, who died in the crash, reported suspected attacks in Somersworth and Dover some time before the crash.
Gavin Sorge Sr. and his Gina Lancaster Sorge are organizing the occasion on October 17.

Gavin Sorge Sr. and his son worked on the same construction on Congress Street in Portsmouth. Sorge Sr. is host at Jimmy’s Jazz and Blues Club. Sorge Jr. worked as a guest at the MONA (Museum of New Art) on the club’s first grounds.
Gavin Sorge Jr. had been involved in local theater teams since childhood, adding the Prescott Park Arts Festival, Seacoast Repertory Theatre and The Players’ Ring. His circle of relatives said they gained a lot of love and fellow artists.
“We want it to be the most productive party of Gavin’s life,” Sorge Sr. said of her son. “We need wonderful stories from other people who supported him and worked with him. We are running a slideshow, photos and music videos. Jimmy’s organizes the occasion for us. As complicated as it is, we want it to be a happy occasion. “
Sorge Sr. and his wife, Gina, remain at their South Berwick home with Ronchi’s widow and Gina’s mother, Sheila, worried about her while she suffers from dementia. Peter Ronchi had worked for the City of Portsmouth Water Department for over 30 years.
“It’s been hard, but she’s part of the family and we’re going through to make it work,” Sorge Sr. said. “Gina may not be able to go back to work because her mother can’t be left alone. She and Peter used to work other shifts to be with Sheila. “
Sorge Sr. said they were still lost to the surprise of their family’s separation. He thanked everyone who came before to offer their condolences.
