A family-owned Ford brokerage organization will open its fifth location.
Dalkeith Retail Centre, like Your Ford Centre, used a £3 million loan from the Royal Bank of Scotland to acquire and renovate the Dundee site.
Dundee Ford Center will be the city’s leading Ford franchise, which Your Ford Center says underlines its commitment to delivering exceptional cars to a developing visitor base across Scotland.
The company is run by founders William and Janina Short, with support from their sons David, Ian and Marek, grandson Ben, sales manager Derek Thomson and aftermarket manager Graeme Salmond.
Under the control of the Short family, Your Ford Center has branches in Cupar, Peebles, Dalkeith and Kirkcaldy and employs over a hundred people, while the Dundee showroom creates an additional 20 jobs.
The 10-acre site on Baird Avenue, which is now scheduled to open later this summer when it originally hoped to open on July 1, will house the entire new Ford lineup of cars, adding the electric Ford Mustang Mach-E. , and will also have a six-bay workshop and an ITV facility.
Dundee Ford Centre, which replaced a former Tesco warehouse, will also sell used cars as used advertising vans.

The Ford Center has been a Blue Oval model since 1976, its roots going back almost a century, to 1925.
