BALTIMORE — The circle of relatives of a man who struck and killed a hit-and-run in a crash and fled in southwest Baltimore is asking the user who took his own life to come forward and apologize.
They rallied to hold a vigil for 41-year-old Aaron Hall, who was fatally wounded near the intersection of Noth Hilton Street and Phelps Lane Wednesday morning.
Hall a son, brother, husband and father of 4 children. He had a fondness for art, was a member of the army and worked as a security guard.
Hall’s mother, Edna Price, said the loss of her son took away her heart.
“He’s my ray of sunshine,” she said. It made you laugh, no matter what made you laugh. “
Price said Hall was on his way home from a laundromat when the fatal collision occurred.
The vehicle’s driving force remained at the scene of the collision or called for help, police said.
Hall left lies on the side of the road, according to his family.
Hall’s sister, Martina Braxton, disappointed by what happened to her brother.
“They took my brother’s life,” he said. How can you get away with it?How can you sleep with that?
Neighbors said they heard the twist of fate when it happened. Some of them even saw the driving force cutting off road signs and a lamppost.
Witnesses said they saw a man get out of the driver’s seat and flee as a female passenger picked him up via another car.
“It’s cruel, and I just want to know if the user is remorseful,” Braxton said.
Hall’s circle of relatives said everything they wanted to get whoever escaped from the striking vehicle to come forward.
“That’s the hardest component for us,” Price said. “He’s a human being, and that’s all we need to see to say, ‘I did this and I’m sorry. We don’t need anything else. Just give us that to move forward. “
