Ewan McGregor to drive a Harley through South America on a new Apple TV show

Apple TV: Has officially announced a new screen through actors Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman, who will document their 2019 adventure while driving Harley-Davidson LiveWires from the tip of South America to Mexico.

The show, titled Long Way Up, will see the motorcycle duo 21,000 km (thirteen,000 miles) in a hundred days. From the city of Ushuaia, McGregor and Boorman will meet thirteen countries and cross 16 borders towards their arrival in Mexico.

I have no doubt that Boorman and McGregor will end up with wonderful humour and humility. Having already toured the global through the motorcycle in Long Way Round, and John O’Groats, in Scotland, Cape Town, South Africa, as a component of his Long Way Down, are no strangers to such expeditions.

Both trips were recorded and broadcast as multi-part documentaries, however, it had been more than ten years since the last, so I honestly think everything we were going to achieve. I am very excited to see that we are getting another set of the couple, and that it is also in electric Harleys.

Since the LiveWire has a speed of approximately 140 miles and has 13,000 miles to travel, Boorman and McGregor will have to recharge at least 90 times. No one knows exactly where they can do this in the middle of nowhere in South America, but they have a trick up their sleeves.

The production and film equipment that will adhere to the pair will use Rivian trucks, capable of charging other small electric cars with their own batteries, to provide a safety net.

If you’ve never seen Long Way Down or Long Way Round, I suggest you do. Even for non-motorcyclists, it serves a lot of engaging cultural curiosities, beautiful landscapes and an un scripted comedy that leads to dreaming of amazement for a similar adventure.

They are an amazing holiday in any means of transport, not to mention electric motorcycles that can even be purchased! But I’m convinced that McGregor and Boorman chose a motorcycle that can do this job.

During the preparation of their World Tour Long Way Round, the two men spent a lot of time courting Austrian-owned off-road manufacturer KTM in hopes of offering cars for the trip.

KTM reportedly feared that the couple would fail and that it would be poor exposure to their bikes. There is a debate that it is the total truth, however, the occasion has made a lot of noise in the land of cyclists.

I mean, Boorman was a little upset. In the end, they made trips on BMW 1200 GS motorcycles and controlled all the way, with some setbacks, of course.

Anyway, McGregor and Boorman are now in a position to transfer to electrical power. It will be wonderful to see how the Harley-Davidson live up to the abuses that will undoubtedly be thrown in their own way. Let’s hope the bikes find out how effective electric shipping can be.

Long Way Up will have its world premiere on September 18 on Apple TV, which is the only problem here. Hopefully, the series will reach other platforms in the long run to give more people a chance to see it, because I’m sure it will be a kick.
