Employee ordered reimbursement of nearly $50,000 to Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep-Ram dealership

A workplace manager will have to pay about $50,000 to an Ohio broker after being convicted of falsifying agency records.

Nicole Bradley, 44, was sentenced Oct. 13 following an investigation into her role as workplace manager at Erwin Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep in Troy, Ohio, about 19 miles north of Dayton, according to records from the Miami, Ohio County Common Court of First Instance.

Bradley racked up $47,475 in unauthorized grant budget between 2019 and 2021, according to court documents. She was sentenced to five years of network (a form of probation) and 40 hours of network service and ordered to pay $47,475 to Erwin Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep commensurate with the month, according to court records.

An investigation into Bradley was launched after the dealership filed a complaint in August 2021, according to Steve Hickey, a detective with the Miami County Sheriff’s Office.

Hickey, who led the investigation, said Bradley had business credit cards, which he used to send Amazon packages home and buy pieces like furniture, clothing and birthday decorations. invoices for a vehicle you bought through the dealership, Hickey said.

Erwin Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep cooperated fully in the investigation, Hickey said. The concession owner was not immediately available for comment.

Bradley’s moves were more serious than the conduct affecting the forgery rate, Judge Stacy M. Wall wrote in a report detailing the sentence. Bradley “was a long-time worker at a kinship business who was given exclusive access to accounts and payroll,” the report said, adding that the court did not find Bradley “repentant for the wasteful harm she caused. “

First, she was charged with one count of theft and one count of falsifying records, either fourth-degree felonies, and filed the indictment on March 9. Court records show Bradley agreed to plead guilty to the forgery fee on Sept. 2.

If his sentence is violated, Bradley could serve up to a year and a half in prison, according to the report.

Bradley’s attorney, Mark A. Fisher, not without delay to comment.
