The concept didn’t come out of nowhere. When my daughter and I spent a month on the East Coast last summer, we saw a lot of electric cars pulling trailers and boats. These are the other people who do it, I thought. Why can’t we?
Of course, most people with trailers don’t spend vacations on the road like we do. They choose a camp, stay there for a few days and return home. Our vacation was much more ambitious: a week visiting the mountainous national parks of Colombia. , a week cruising the Okanagan Valley and the Lower Mainland along the new provincial highway between the rainforest and the Rocky Mountains, and a week on Vancouver Island.
I knew I’d want a solid plan, as well as a backup plan or two. But after a lot of research, I became convinced that it was possible. Many things may go wrong, but the rewards would be wonderful if everything went well. .
