Wale Ojo-Lanre, senior special assistant to Governor Kayode Fayemi of the state of Ekiti for tourism development, said the state government had discovered a new tourist site in the area.
Ojo-Lanre revealed this in a fact to the Nigerian news firm (NAN) in Lagos on Wednesday.
He said the site was discovered at the foot of a mountain on the Ado-Ekiti road, Iyin-Ekiti.
He said: “A new herbal tourism site, which will be loaded into the global wonders of the universe, is at the foot of a mountain on the Ado-Ekiti road, Iyin Ekiti.
“The Rock of Wonders, which looks like an amphitheatre, is on the Abanijorin rock, one of the most beautiful rocks God has planted in the landscape of Iyin-Ekiti.
“It is covered with a rock shelter and houses rock pebbles arranged sequentially as seating, which can accommodate 500 visitors or spectators per performance.
“The herb amphitheatre has an entrance, an exit, air intakes and a fireplace, where visitors or the public can enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of Ado-Ekiti,” he said.
Ojo-Lanre extra stated that it had led a team of tourism enthusiasts to verification and evaluation.
According to him, all visitors were astonished by the exclusivity of nature that hides the state.
He noted that the site learned through a clergyman, Pastor Bayode, “who does a scholarship to the Mountain of Solutions and Energy”, located about two kilometers from the site.
He explained that Bayode had informed a member of the state tourism progression team that he had led others on an expedition in the rocky surroundings of the discovery.
Ojo-Lanre is confident that a state team guilty of economic studies and policy documentation would make the site take stock for its attention and improvement.
He congratulated the governor, whom he described as a governor in favor of tourism and the other people of the state for the discovery of some other captivating tourist, based on herbs and nature care in the area.
