EICMA 2022: Suzuki presents the Suzuki V-Strom 800DE/DE adventure

Wonderfully, Suzuki has delivered its new adventure motorcycle to the impatient masses, and this new device makes Honda’s new XL750 Transalp sweat bloodlessly.

It is supplied with a completely new, flexible, 776 cm3, liquid-cooled parallel twin engine capable of operating at 22. 7 km/L. (and red line at 9250 rpm), as well as the six-liter airbox under the cabin of the car, a premium bump (and some very satisfied torques).

The Suzuki Cross Balancer is new to the table; A design designed for an ideal grip.

“. . . a balancer is assigned to the cylinder, allowing the formula to be lighter and more compact,” explains the Ultimate Motorcycling report.

“Both balancers are placed at 90 degrees on the crankshaft, equidistant from the center of the crank. “

Not to mention the integration of a new metal tube chassis, complemented through a false removable frame.

Suzuki also believes in functional improvements; for this, we have an oil cooler (intervenes when your juice gets too hot), a three-position adjustable windshield, an ECM-assisted bidirectional quick gear selector and an ingenious Suzuki Easy Start button.

Pop, rev, and come on.

For electronics, Suzuki has abandoned the total package; Suzuki’s intelligent driving formula allows 3 driving modes (active, fundamental and comfort), as well as an elegant G mode (gravel) in the traction formula, cancelable ABS for the rear brake and low revs help achieve that elegant start that everyone dreams of.

In short, we anticipate the day when this bike faces the new Honda Transalp; our teammate Jim Pruner took a clever look at the specifications of the two bugs, with the following anecdotes for the night’s antics:
