Dubai: Dubai has established an on-site laboratory to the point of pesticide residues on products sold at the emirate’s largest fruit and vegetable market.
Dawoud Al Hajri, General Manager of Dubai Township, opened the dubai Central Laboratory’s (DCL) new food research laboratory at the Warsan Fruit and Vegetable Market, announced the civic establishment on Monday.
The laboratory can perform electronic pesticide residue tests on foods such as vegetables, milks, cereals, spices, honey and rice.
In a statement, Al Hajri said the new laboratory for analyzing and analyzing various samples promises food safety, as well as the municipality’s efforts for the functionality of its laboratories, and is also helping to monitor quality and protection according to foreign standards.
“We strive to expand our facilities to keep up with recent clinical advances in the fields of testing in general, and food testing in particular, to ensure that they are free of contaminants or tissues that violate UAE and foreign standards. products,” Al Hajri said, noting that DCL has become a prominent style in the region and globally.
“The procedure of establishing a laboratory to verify insecticide residues in food with lacheck technologies and complex specialized devices is a component of the DCL’s continuous progression chain, in addition to the maximum power of its analysts and specialists. The first laboratory of its kind is a qualitative addition that supplies food suppliers in Dubai and strengthens customer confidence in products on the market,” he added.
“The DCL, which conducts a series of tests that serve the food control formula on products imported into the country, frequently monitors food at points of sale and markets,” said Al Hajri, who also praised the sophistication and accuracy of research that detects contaminants.
The civic leader was informed about the mechanism used for laboratory testing, strategies and painting steps from sample reception to results extraction, with complex new technical systems and multiple laboratory functions.
