Imagine combining what are potentially the two highest productivity BMW sedans ever made. By that I mean to take the powertrain of the highest productivity sports sedan ever made by BMW and embrace it in the most charming and charming driving sedan ever designed. taking the V8 and six-speed manual gearbox from a BMW M5 E39 and tucking it into the impressive frame of a BMW 7 Series E38, creating what may be the most productive BMW of all time. And it is for sale.
This Frankenstein M5/7 series is now on sale on Cars and Bids, Doug DeMuro’s new auction site. At the time of writing, the existing offer is $11,500 and there are still five days left, so it won’t be cheap. But it’s valuing it, valuing all the money.
The car began life as a BMW 740i M Sport E38 short-battle, but in 2017, its powertrain and transmission were replaced by an E39 M5, so it now has a atmospheric 4. 9-liter V8 with a six-speed manual gearbox (smiles at Jason Statham). Plus, it receives Supersprint silencers, Bilstein surprise shock absorbers, H springs
Personally, I don’t like the concept of buying a car with a powertrain change, because I’m so afraid it won’t work properly. That said, this car, at least for me, is worth taking the risk. The most productive facets of bmw’s two most productive sedans in history in an impressive ensemble. Get the amazing view and very good cab of an E38 Series 7 with the BMW M5 E39’s brilliant powertrain.
