Dipper Harbor man dies in accident

A 21-year-old boy in Dipper Harbor, New Brunswick, died after a twist of fate between a motorcycle and a van in Musquash on Saturday.

The RCMP of the Southeast District responded shortly after 1:30 p.m. to report a collision on Highway 790, according to a press release.

Both cars were heading south when the collision occurred, the RCMP sergeant said. Jean-Fran’ois Martel.

“The driving force and the sole occupant of the motorcycle died on the spot as a result of his injuries,” he said.

The van’s driving force is not injured. The road reopened on Saturday afternoon after being closed for several hours.

Martel stated that an RCMP reconstructor had helped at the site and that the cause of the investigation was ongoing.

The victim has been identified.
