ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) – Derek Dietrich spoke hours before his debut with the Texas Rangers to have any effect on his new team.
The veteran outfielder made a big comeback in front of the Seattle Mariners.
Dietrich came to base four times, stole a base and scored twice for the Rangers, who overcame a four-point deficit early in a 7-4 win on Wednesday night, completing a stay at home when they won five out of six games.
“This fun in the eighth inning. I swelled up,” Dietrich said. “It’s smart to feel that again. That’s a little bit.”
A bachelor through Dietrich in hard pitcher Erik Swanson (0-1) gave Texas a five-run win over Elvis Andrus, who tied in a 2-of-23 drop, doubled in the left corner of the area and punctured. Todd Frazier hit a pitch to fill the ground. Dietrich noted when ninth baseman Jeff Mathis connected a bachelor before Shin-so Choo stole the sacrificial tie. Frazier tore into a wild box through Taylor Williams, who had just entered. Willie Calhoun, who already had a hitter a ticket earlier, added a two-run bachelor.

Seattle scored all his problems at the time in front of Jordan Lyles. Austin Nola through the lineup of a 424-foot home race in Seattle’s bullpen to the left middle before Shed Long Jr. Daniel Vogelbach then made the 3-0 when he fired a 442-foot shot into the right seats, well beyond the fan’s five rows of cardboard clippings. When asked about his plans for Dietrich when Texas returns to play, Woodward replied, “I’m going to put it somewhere, either at the beginning or in the second. I know you can play third, too. I’ll find a way to get him there.”
