Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) removes more than 58,000 Jeep Grand Cherokee SUVs and Ram 1500 trucks equipped with 3.0-liter diesel engines from the market. A challenge with an internal engine sensor can cause cars to suddenly stop. If this happens when they are on the move, it can result in an accident. Similar FCA cars that have 3.0-litre diesel engines are subject to this recall.
In a report to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the FCA says there have been 1,020 warranty claims due to this issue, but that it is aware of any injury or injury.
Vehicles recalled from the market: 58,016 SUVs and pickup trucks with 3.0-litre diesel engine.
