The arrival of a mass-produced family circle car at the Great British Car Journey museum in Derbyshire has left staff and visitors scratching their heads. That’s because the Vauxhall Victor FE has traveled just under a hundred miles in nearly 50 years and is in pristine condition.

It was purchased through Mr. Milner in the summer of 1974 at Mercury Garage in Ilkeston. Six years later, the car was brought to Derthrough to undergo the Ziebart oxidation treatment, a popular choice at the time, and then put back into existence.

Before being stored, the shine was removed, covered with oil and bagged and the interior was covered with polyethylene, all of which helped keep the vehicle in proper condition over the years. the Ambergate Automobile Museum.
