BUTLER TOWNSHIP – A multi-vehicle destination turn on Interstate 81 South on Mile 149 closed the road for several hours on Friday night between Exit 151 B (I-80 W. ) and Exit 145 (W. Hazelton) in Luzerne County, PennDOT said, officials said.

A witness told the Times Leader that a truck with bees crashed and overturned its cargo on the road, as the bees buzzed around the site of the wreckage.

PennDOT the highway reopened at 11:20 p. m.

Witness Stan Lobitz, who helped go blank after the accident, told the Times Leader that a truck with hives involved, with honey spilled on the pavement.
