Ink Master tattooist Daniel Silva has been sentenced for the death of YouTuber Corey La Barrie.
On Tuesday, Silva, 27, was sentenced to 364 days in criminal, five years of formal probation, 250 hours of network service, and a four-year suspended criminal sentence, according to a press release from the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office.
A conditional sentence “can be imposed if a defendant violates the terms of his probation,” in the release.
Silva’s attorney, Mike Cavalluzzi, told PEOPLE: “We are very grateful that Daniel had the opportunity to be tested in this case and that he was not sentenced to prison. He still feels grief and grief over Corey’s loss.”
“As we have said all along, our hearts are with Corey’s family. While we are pleased with the Court’s conviction, this is not the time to celebrate. Corey has lost a bright glow, and Daniel will try to live up to expectations. reminiscent of his expensive friend.”
Silva’s conviction comes after he challenged La Barrie’s murder in July.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced in July that Silva had “filed a lawsuit for killing the passenger of his McLaren sports car after crashing into a tree in Valley Village.”
Deputy district attorney Yasmin Fardghassemi said Silva had a lawyer for one for murder.
The fatal incident occurred shortly after 9:30 p.m. On May 10 in Los Angeles when “a 600LT 2020 McLaren was driving east on Huston Street at top speed when the driving force lost control,” according to the Los Angeles Police Department. “The driving force then left the road and collided with a warning sign and a tree on the northeast corner of Huston Street and Carpenter Avenue.”

Silva should be prevented from leaving the crash site, the government said.
“The McLaren’s driving force came out of the vehicle and tried to get out of the scene, but he was stopped by citizens who came here to help,” the LAPD told PEOPLE in the past. “No other car was affected by the collision.”

Police said La Barrie, who in the passenger seat, was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead. He’s 25.
Silva was arrested and first and foremost charged with murder. On May 20, he asked not to be to blame, and showed People a data officer from the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office.
Los Angeles tattooist Silva is known for competing in season 10 of Ink Masters, a series of contests for tattooists.
Before his death, La Barrie, which had more than 330,000 fans on YouTube and 200,000 fans on Instagram, celebrated his birthday by listening to 2 Chainz’s ‘Birthday Song’ and drinking champagne, as noted in a series of Instagram stories.
Since then, La Barrie has filed a manslaughter lawsuit against Silva.
Simon La Barrie and Lissa Burton are suing Silva and his company, Daniel Silva Tattoos, claiming that the tattooist was “negligent” in the hours and moments leading up to Corey’s death.
In the complaint received through PEOPLE, Corey’s parents allege that Silva was driving at an “extremely high non-moderate speed for conditions” when he was in the car with Corey, claiming that he “generally did not act with moderate caution” when driving the vehicle and was in violation of California law.
They also allege that Silva was under the influence of alcohol and/or other unknown substances, which were provided to them through his tattoo company. TMZ, who first announced the news of the trial, reported that a source close to Silva denied the indictment.
The prestige of the trial is known at this time.
