Crown Subaru opened its doors in a newly built dealership at Bonny Oaks Drive and Lee Highway. The new shop measures 41,354 feet and includes a showroom of more than 16,000 feet, a showroom for four vehicles, a service garage with 21 compartments, as well as a spacious service store with air conditioning and three-way service service.
The move marks the departure from Subaru’s previous Riverfront Parkway location downtown. While Crown is looking forward to being in their new neighborhood, they are grateful for their past location. “Our location on Riverfront Parkway was a great first home for Crown as we entered the Chattanooga market,” said Jim Myers, President of Crown Automotive Group. “We needed a much larger and more modern facility to meet both current customer expectations and our projected growth. This location right next to I-75 provides easy accessibility for the entire Chattanooga region.”
Myers continued, “Less than an hour from our new dealership is the Ocoee River, home of the 1996 Whitewater Olympics and possible site of the 2024 World Road Rally. Many of our buyers are kayakers, climbers, hikers and motorcycle enthusiasts We hope that Our new dealership will be a gathering place for launching adventures wherever adventure takes them.
The company purchased the Subaru dealership in the Chattanooga market approximately three years ago. Since that time, they have been involved in support of non-profit organizations across the community. Crown served as presenting sponsor for Habitat’s Raise the Roof lunch and naming sponsor for the annual Grateful Gobbler Walk held each Thanksgiving morning to support the Maclellan Homeless Family Shelter. The company also provided support to the Chatt Foundation (formerly known as the Chattanooga Community Kitchen) and the Humane Education Society and is a recipient of Subaru’s coveted Love Promise Award.
