Tributes continue to arrive for a father from Kingborough and his two-year-old daughter, who died in a multi-vehicle accident last week.
This morning, flowers and a small pink unicorn were tied to the algona Road railing, near where the couple tragically lost their lives.
The collision of two vehicles on Algona Road, 900 m south of the fork at the Kingston roundabout, at 8:40 a.m. on Thursday, when a bus and a black sedan collided head-on.
The driving force of the 1998 Hino white passenger bus, a 68-year-old woman from Blackmans Bay, the only occupant and taken to Royal Hobart Hospital with non-fatal injuries, but unfortunately the two occupants of the black Lexus sedan died.
Since the devastating accident, tributes have come online on Mercury’s Facebook page.
“My deepest condolences to your circle of family and friends, I can’t even begin to believe your centerache, my center hurts for all of you,” Angela Patterson said.
“Thoughts are with the circle of family members and lifeguards. Always with his dad,” Gail Daryl wrote.
“My center is going out into the circle of family and friends of the boy and the girl, my center is broken for all of you,” Karen Schultz said.
Kingborough Mayor Dean Winter shared the news on his Facebook page, they were waiting for more information about the accident.
“Tragic news for the Kingborough network … our mind is involved,” Cr Winter said.
Hobart Mayor Anna Reynolds left a tribute on Cr Winter’s page.
“I’m sorry to hear this tragic news,” Cr Reynolds said.
“A double death involving a child is so unhappy for the circle of relatives and all members of their community.”
