The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a reported theft of an advertising app trailer in Asphodel-Norwood Township over the weekend.
According to the Peterborough County Ontario Provincial Police, officers received a call Monday from an individual saying they had removed their trailer from their enclosed pen on County Road 45.
Staff arrived at the office on Monday to find that the chain and deadbolt holding the door had been removed and the trailer was missing.
Ontario provincial police say the investigation concluded that before midnight on Saturday, a dark-colored truck was spotted at the scene and approached the trailer, then departed north with the trailer. There is no description available of the Americans.
The trailer is a 2017 model with Ontario licence plate S4435P. The trailer is wrapped with the business logos “themediaworks.ca” and “Creative Signage Experts.” The value of the theft is approximately $15,000.
