The fourth annual Codsall Classic Motorcycle Show was held at Codsall High School on Sunday, June 30, where more than 50 enthusiastic owners showcased their machines.
A wide variety of vintage motorcycles were on display for all to enjoy, adding British models from the 1940s to 1960s, and later vintage European and Japanese machines. Although it was more of a social collection than a “contest,” many of the motorcycles were impeccably presented and of wonderful technical interest. What is vital is that the exhibition raised the budget for the school and that the exhibitors enjoyed chatting with old and new friends.
The prizes, made at home through the students, went to:
Best of the show: Norton ES2, Mick Palin
Best European: Laverda Jota, Phil Richardson
Best Japanese: Yamaha RD350LC, Andy Kibble
Best British: TriGreeves, Mick Knowles
We intend to expand the exhibit next year with on-site refreshments and other innovations, but we must keep the atmosphere casual and friendly.
Our thanks to Ms. Reade, Director and Andy Cartwright, Site Director, for their generous organization of the show!
