Baseball enthusiasts can now ride Citi bikes to Citi Field, just in time for the start of the 2024 season. The New York Mets, Citi Bike and Lyft on Thursday opened new docking stations at Citi Field, providing a way to get to a football game. The stadium will have 66 piers, roughly a portion of which will be near the main entrance, near House Run Apple, and the other part, next to the intersection of Shea Road and Boat Basin Place.

The motorcycles are supplied with a special logo with the Mets logo

Lyft expects large numbers of enthusiasts to bike to the stadium, so there will be drivers picking up more motorcycles that can’t be placed at a docking station, according to AMNY.

“From many other Queens neighborhoods, we can now hop on a Citi Bike and leave our cars at home, bring our families, and get here safely. I’m beyond excited,” Jim Burke, co-founder of 34th Ave. The Open Streets Coalition said at Thursday’s groundbreaking ceremony, as reported via WCBS 880.

The new transportation will be installed before the Mets’ March 28 opener at 1:10 p. m. against the Milwaukee Brewers.

Cyclists can access the stadium via the 34th Avenue motorcycle lane. There is personal parking for bicycles near the roundabout.

Access to Citi Bike would also make it less difficult for commuters to get to the Mets’ proposed $8 billion “Metropolitan Park” complex, which, if approved, would turn a sprawling sports and entertainment complex with a Hard Rock-run casino into 50 acres of land. land adjacent to Citi Field.
