Online thrift store Cinch will open 4 dealerships and more will follow, it announced today.
The first will open next week in a former Cazoo in Northampton.
There will be more in Birmingham, Bristol and Manchester this month and next, with more planned for later this year.
Cinch, owned by Constellation Automotive Group and founded 4 years ago, calls dealers and informs them that it will offer a wide diversity of carefully selected used cars from its stock of more than 5,000 vehicles.
He added that to date he has sold more than 200,000 online.
Robert Bridge, chief customer officer at Cinch, said: “We are now in our fourth year of successfully expanding our online business. So now is the best time to offer an omnichannel experience and open our first physical stores to reach more car buyers in the UK. with our impeccable approach.
“Thousands of drivers across the UK have already bought into our fully online sales model.
“Now, we look forward to rallying some of those existing consumers into users and welcoming new consumers to our doors for the first time. ”
Customers will be able to check out the cars they drive, as well as receive assistance and recommendations from each store’s store team, and Cinch says in-store shoppers will pay the same value as shoppers at home.
Visitors to the store who want to buy a car will complete their purchase on the Cinch website.
