Chinese-French Automotive JV Launches Highway in France

A fleet of Chinese-made Peugeot and Citroën cars will begin their adventure on April 1 from the Beijing Palace Museum, bound for the Palace of Versailles in France.

It is planned in honor of a 10-month, 12,000-mile adventure made through a Citroën fleet in 1931 to Beijing, He Yong, spokesman for the Sino-French joint venture Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen Automobile Company, said on Wednesday.

He, who is also the general director of the company’s logo development department, said that the occasion is organized by the French embassy on the occasion of the Franco-Chinese Year of Cultural Tourism.
