The Kansas City Chiefs are in the midst of a vehicle-related controversy this offseason.
Head coach Andy Reid is already grappling with the questionable commutation of his son Britt’s sentence for a twist of fate that left a young woman seriously injured.

It is not known if Rice was driving the vehicle at the time of the crash.
A Dallas police spokeswoman told the newspaper that a driver of a Chevrolet Corvette and a driver of a Lamborghini were racing and lost their vehicle, with the Lamborghini hitting the center wall and causing a chain-reaction collision involving four other vehicles. ESPN reports.
The crash occurred around 6:20 p. m. Saturday time in northeast Dallas. Police say the occupants of the Corvette and Lamborghini fled the scene of the crash.
Rice, 23, grew up outside Dallas and played his college career in the city at SMU. Kansas City decided on him in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft.
He became superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ favorite target when he was a rookie.
Rice made 79 passes for 938 yards as a rookie. Both numbers were second-best for team superstar tight end Travis Kelce. He led the team in touchdowns with seven.
The rookie also had 26 catches for 262 yards and a landing in 4 playoff games as the Chiefs won the Super Bowl.
Neither Rice nor the Kansas City Chiefs organization released a statement on the situation. Rice has not yet been arrested or charged by Dallas police.
Police say they don’t know the motive for Rice’s involvement in the incident, beyond the fact that the Lamborghini is named after her.
